A message from Victor Chabala, January 2025

CONGRATULATIONS! 6 YEARS ANNIVERSARY 22nd Jan 2025
Six years have passed since the formation of Mwantalasha Village Education Project and a lot has been achieved. A very big thank you to all the board of trustees and sponsors for great work and sacrifice you have put into MVEP to bring it to where it is today. On behalf of SAVING LIVES THROUGH ALTERNATE OPTIONS and indeed the vulnerable children of Mwantalasha Village, accept our hearty congratulations on your anniversary. It's a milestone of achievement and speaks volumes of your commitment to the future of all our sponsored children.
Perfect health, prosperity and longevity of life is my prayer for you all.

Today, Mwantalasha Village Education Project presented a football and a whistle which were sent by our sponsors from Chester in the United Kingdom to the Girls Football Foundation in Chongwe. This gesture of goodwill was most appreciated.

A post from the Facebook page
A group of our children came to me and said, we just want to say "thank you" for connecting us to sponsors who have lovingly been supporting us. I could not hide my tears.  I said to them, "Thank God who saw your need and made a provision through people unknown to you."  This reminded me of a story I read several years ago.
One day in 1964, five-year-old Eady Rothstein fell into a swimming pool in Long Island, New York. She would have drowned but for the efforts of Larry Brickman, 21, a lifeguard who knew CPR, which was rare at the time. Now, almost fifty years later, Eady used family scrapbooks and online search engines to locate Larry and express her gratitude. "I've always said I wanted to thank him," Rothstein said." I owe my life to him, and it's a very nice feeling to finally be able to say, 'Thank you."
So, sponsors, on behalf of the volunteers, guardians, parents and all our sponsored children, kindly accept our gratitude for all that you have been to these children.
The Mwantalasha Website

March 2023 marks the start of the website for this charity, kindly created by Alan Batchelor.
We trust that you will find it a useful resource and a place to record the stories of the Mwantalasha Village School and its supporters in the UK.
Please be patient as we continue to build the site.
